FORUM8 exhibited at Smart City Expo World Congress 2025 held at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain. This is the biggest smart city event where more than 25,000 visitors and about 1,100 exhibitors gather from around 140 countries.

At the event, local organizations and companies of each country introduced the latest case studies related to smart cities. Specifically, the use of CityGML, urban sensing data, and examples of using GIS to solve traffic and disaster issues, and many other interesting initiatives were presented.

FORUM8 exhibited at the MLIT and PLATEAU booth area in the Japan Pavilion. During the event, FORUM8 introduced a variety of use cases in the PLATEAU smart city projects, focusing on UC-win/Road and Metavania F8VPS, and also made a presentation on stage.

Smart city officials from around the world such as Finland, Italy, India, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, France, Romania, and USA visited our booth. The use of software technology in urban development in Japan attracted a lot of attention, providing an opportunity to introduce various case studies.

A major topic at the booth was the use of digital twins to address traffic issues and disasters such as flooding, which are problems in every country. This opportunity triggered personal meetings after the event and led to further discussions, including the exploration of additional applications of FORUM8's digital twin technologies.
