Introduction
Metavania F8VPS (FORUM8 Virtual Platform System) is a system that uses WebGL technology to recreate virtual exhibit venues, offices, and factories in metaverse spaces and facilitate information sharing and communication between users. This topic will introduce functions that will be further enhanced in Metavania F8VPS Ver.6.
Digital Twins
The new version of Metavania F8VPS will extend the metaverse functionality to digital twins.
CityGML Import
It will be possible to directly import CityGML format models used in PLATEAU data format, which is a 3D city model project arranged by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. This version allows for the import of LOD1 to LOD4 building and road models with texture.
Because it handles large amounts of data, the number of models that can be displayed simultaneously on the user's device is limited. For this reason, we will add functions to select the LOD to display and to dynamically load data.

GPS Coordinate System
Unlike 3D model arrangements such as GLB, CityGML and point cloud data have GPS information. Therefore, an auto arrangement function that uses this information to easily create virtual spaces will be added. Automatic placement is possible when creating a virtual space by simply defining the GPS coordinate system of the space origin.
Conversation Function
There are two conversation styles available in the Metavania F8VPS. One style is for participants to talk at the same volume level in a specified room, such as a conference room or classroom. The other style is for the volume of the conversation to differ according to the distance between users in an open area, such as an exhibition venue or city. Ver.6 now has a feature that displays the hearing range as a circle centered on the user's avatar. This makes communication more intuitive and smoother than in previous versions.

Additionally, starting with this version, clicking an avatar will initiate a private voice chat. This feature can be used for various purposes, such as personal meetings with exhibitors at virtual exhibitions, customer support, and more.

UI/UX
Metavania F8VPS Ver.6 and Ver.7 will improve the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX). The application will support various devices from mobile phones to desktop PCs with its united interface.
In particular, avatar operation will be improved for mobile devices, allowing users to control it as if it were a game with a virtual joystick. The virtual joystick operates based on where the user taps on the screen. Those who are unsure about how to operate it can use the easy-to-understand, button-style UI. This provides a more comfortable experience for a wider range of users.

Others
We developed an award-type voting function for the Metavania F8VPS, which is used for the 3D VR Simulation Contest, a main event of FORUM8 Design Festival held every year.
This version includes simplified Chinese, and all of the Metaverse application, the editing tool screen, and the management screen can be translated.
